I’m Kostek Strzelski, a video and photographer dedicated to capturing the beauty of the ocean, natural world and a human in comparison to the vastness of any landscape.

I’ve worked with brands like Red Bull, Salomon, Mazda, Jagermeister, AIDA International, and top freedivers. Specializing in underwater photography and videography, I do my best to bring a unique perspective to every project.

My story began in the mountains, where I started creating my first films about freestyle and freeride skiing—disciplines I actively practiced for years at an international level. My first, serious freeride film won the Audience Award at the Mountain Film Festival in Zakopane, Poland.

Having always been close to nature, I felt a deep, unbreakable bond with the elements. My fascination with the marine world began in my teenage years, but I put it aside for a long time while pursuing professional freeskiing and freeriding.

At the same time, I was gaining experience and knowledge in film production, co-managing a production house specializing in documentaries, live broadcasts, and video content for clients mainly in the fields of culture (music, film, art) and, most importantly, sports—particularly action sports like skiing, running, cycling, skydiving, climbing, and many others. Over more than a decade, I built a strong portfolio in Poland. Eventually, I decided to take both my passion and work beyond the borders of my home country.

The ocean returned to my life in adulthood. I began with scuba diving, but after a while I discovered freediving—and it felt only natural that, as a filmmaker, I would start telling stories from beneath the surface, capturing them in a single breath. Freediving and the ocean brought a profound transformation to my life—one I gladly embraced. I feel that through this journey, I’m becoming a better person.

As an underwater photographer and filmmaker, I’m a brand ambassador for Evolve Apnea, which equips me with the best freediving gear. The short AIR C50 or C60 fins, wetsuit, and masks provide me with complete comfort and support during underwater maneuvers.

I’m also AIDA freediving instructor with KK Freedivers, a school I co-founded with my wife, Kate.

For filming and photography, I use the full-frame Canon R5C camera with extensive professional recording formats and tools. Underwater, I protect the camera with a Nauticam housing.
